Beveled washers are primarily used with American Standard beams and channels in structural applications to compensate for the lack of parallel bearing surfaces. They help ensure proper load distribution and accurate alignment when bolting to sloped steel flanges.
For use with A325 and A490 structural bolts, ASTM F436 beveled washers are specifically recommended to maintain proper joint performance and structural integrity.
